Ok, so the squeaky wheel thing is true. Complain on your facebook status and OH the flood of support! Very nice. Doesn't compare to having face-time, but at least I know I haven't been forgotten!
Another weekend is coming, and though I had plans to have my Mom, Dad, oldest Sister and her two sons come help me paint, financial...ickies... threw a big wrench in those plans. So, Alex will be finishing old-house obligations and I will be pretending like it's a normal weekday, here, without a car, finding things to do around the house.
I'd be kidding myself if I said I had nothing to do. We still have boxes everywhere. Mainly in the second bedroom (winter and outgrown baby clothes and whatever other here-and-there's)
and in the dining room/kitchen (still haven't come up with great storage/organizing solution...it's all kind of waiting on a ceiling-hanging-pot-rack...and lots of craft supplies).
There's only a few boxes in the living room, but they are pending the discovery of the shelf-holder-peg-thingy hiding spot.
Sorry for the dark, fuzzy, and messy photos...I'm faulting my old camera phone on all three of those points...and the boy who rubbed olive oil into the lense...because it's my blog and I can do what I want!...yeeeaaahhh....
Why is this so difficult? It should be fun!
My excuse has been that my Sunshine boy wants to be in my arms constantly (he's still adjusting a bit) and that doesn't allow me enough room to sort through box contents...but...well, he's sleeping right now...in our bed (! yay! That's a development I'm SO happy about!!! In a two-story I never felt right leaving him up in the bed, but it's fine here!)...so, what am I doing blogging?!
NO MORE EXCUSES! GET TO WORK, MELISSA!!!!
Still need friend-meeting ideas.
I'm growing used to solitude, but not loving it!
Have a great weekend! Hopefully whatever you have planned pans out nicely.
