I have a birthday coming up!!! Uh oh, you know what that means? Time to show my family what I want!! (and show the people I don't know what they could be wanting...) And this is a pretty good way of doing it, soooooooo...
Double Gauze
Double Gauze
Double Gauze
and maybe some...
Double Gauze please :)
********************************UPDATE*******************************
Heather Ross's Far Far Away collection of double gauze is now in stock at sew mama sew, purl soho and some etsy shops!
This stuff is awesome! We live in an area that gets SO hot in the summers. Hell, it's 90F degrees today in mid spring! Double gauze is 2 layers of lightweight gauze, so soft, tacked together by magical invisible stitches. It's not see through, but it's very breathable...I almost wrote breezable...that would make sense too! Since it is double the gauze fabric you'd normally get, plus extra manufacturing tacking the two pieces together, you have to expect to pay a little more, which is why I'm hoping to get it as a gift :D
These are some of my favorites-
I LOVE this! It's Heather Ross's Far FarAway collection. I know a lot of it is pretty girly, and I have a son, but I'm also planning for a summer quilt (double gauze makes the softest lightweight quilts), myself and since this print is not, I repeat NOT going to be reprinted EVER, it would be a good time to stock up for future baby girls. Note to family: No, that was not a hint, I am not pregnant.
Wouldn't the snails be so cute for Sunshine Boy? It comes in different color ways too. I like it all!
I really like Nani Iro's abstract prints too. They have a very large scale print so nothing is repeated on whatever item I sew.
This last one is just cute. I like Bees. My name is Greek for honeybee. Not rat. You need to know some Greek mythology for that one.
This book would be very loved in my home as well-
I have very much "weekend" (don't hate!) and am loving sewing from books- no flimsy patterns to cut out! WOO HOO!!!
And I would also love Stretchy bias tape, and regular bias tape in a variety of widths and colors, and as always, anything handmade would be the BEST! (you don't have to hand make the bias tape though!)
